CODE RED SUBLEVEL 2 for the PHILIPPINES on March 16, 2020

MARCH 16, 2020. Philippine President Duterte declared the entire Luzon under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) which effects a total lockdown, restricting the movement of the population but with exceptions, in response to the growing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country.
Alternatively, the whole country has a code red sublevel 2 which is the level of alarm where LGU's, especially in Luzon which is under ECQ. This means the LGU's would initiate their moves to help contain the spread of disease in their jurisdictions like using their Quick Response Funds (QRF's), conducting checkpoints, etc.
The declaration created snowball effects on the different political places in Luzon area, locking down their borders with exceptions to those who want to pass with travel permits. In Baguio, City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong signed Executive Order 65 s, 2020 declaring Baguio under citywide community quarantine to prevent the possible entry of  COVID-19 which sought the help of the PNP and AFP to enforce ECQ guidelines and to conduct checkpoints at the borders and within the city. Middle Quirino Hill Barangay officials, volunteers and functionaries conducted their regular meeting in the late noon of March 16,2020 and discussed the ECQ declaration and its guidelines that affected the daily normal activities of the people, the community, and the whole City of Baguio. During the meeting, Kagawad on Peace and Order Pedro Dasing proposed their committee resolution for the approval of the closure of View Deck, whereas, the council has approved it at once.

FEBRUARY 25, 2020 | Evolution of Covid-19 Virus

Certainly, the name has mutated from 2019-nCoV to SARS-CoV-2.

SARS-CoV-2 is the cause of the disease which is now called Covid-19 or Coronavirus Disease 2019, the name was chosen to avoid the stigmatization of its origin, and true to its name it does now seem to be of scattered origin, there's no specific one origin but of a ubiquitous origin when experts told us that cases of infection in other countries were caused by local Covid-19 virus variations..huh!

What probably triggered, or what awakened all these viruses located at different places to attack animal and human species in this particular period of time remains in the dark..what we can only remember is something from the Bible which tells the earth dwellers that the seven trumpets have been sounded to start the apocalyptic events of which fragments spark through times 😲..regardless, with localized origin of the disease, we can still help stop the outbreak at the local level by localizing the international framework and implementing appropriate grassroots PPA's to control the disease if ever there's a case that occurred locally 😥😓😑

FEBRUARY 14, 2020 | The Viral 2019 Novel Coronavirus: The Wildside Thoughts of the Story 🙊

Complete observable evolution can be witnessed at the genetic level. While evolution undergoes the process called mutations, the virus mutation rate is extremely high which happens every time through bioengineering, cross-species infections, interactions with the host and the environment, and other natural and artificial factors. In natural selection, it says that large size of virus population may favor the mutation of predominant size of the virus population to adapt to the host and its counter-measures, totally wiping out other viruses with random genetic drift or those with deleterious alleles, these signify the viruses might have evolved into benign pathogens without the lethal ones. However, when the viral population is small, random mutations may obliterate the adaptive alleles and ugh! they may rise to a high frequency in the population and destroy their hosts and together become short-lived directly opposing the viruses' own survival - exterminating their own species by failing to adapt to their environment.

The 2019 nCov is new and is causing the people's panic buying of cost-inflated face masks while the scientific community is yet to find the cure or vaccine. The outbreak's control remains to be isolation and excretion amidst the claim of asymptomatic spread with maximum days of 14 before discovery and possible isolation. With the aforementioned, the 2019 nCov population is being restrained to small size avoiding the possible large collateral damage in allowing them to transform into tolerable disease agents with larger population. It remains that human conscience and morality will always protect humanity at the most appropriate level by being dominantly raised above scientific novelty and material wealth gained through exploitation of the academia and economy 😱😧
